Berra looks set for Wolves switch after £2.3m deal is accepted
HEARTS have given permission for Christophe Berra to begin contract talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers after accepting an offer totalling £2.3million for the club captain.
Berra will not feature for Csaba Laszlo's side at New Douglas Park today after the two clubs reached agreement on a transfer fee late last night. He travelled to Molineux this morning and will watch Wolves' English Championship match against Watford this afternoon before undergoing a medical examination.
He will then discuss personal terms this evening and is expected to conclude his move before the transfer window closes at 5pm on Monday.
A Hearts spokesperson said today: "Hearts has given Christophe permission to talk to Wolves and he does so with our blessing."
