Award for Coughlin

THE Irn-Bru Phenomenal Manager of the Month for the Third Division was Stenhousemuir's John Coughlin whose side won all three matches in September. Coughlin's men have made an unbeaten start to the season and sit top with the first quarter of matches gone.

Coughlin said: "I thought I would be in with a shout this month after winning all three games so I am delighted to actually get the award. I am grateful to the players as it was a hard run of games against East Stirling, where we were the away team on our home ground, against my old club Berwick Rangers, and then Albion Rovers who gave us a right hard game at Cliftonhill.

"If it wasn't for an own goal and a last-minute penalty save at Coatbridge we would not have ended the month with a 100 per cent record."

East Fife manager Dave Baikie was named the Manager of the Month for the Second Division after two wins and a draw saw his side climb the table after a slow start.
