Promising EAC middle-distance runner Olivia O’Hare has left for the USA where she will take up an athletics scholarship at Tulsa University where her eldest brother Chris is based.

If she is half as successful as her brother at the Oklahoma college then she will become quite a force in Scottish athletics. Chris has won the NCAA Indoor 1500 metres crown and became the second fastest Scottish miler ever indoors when he ran 3:56.48 last year.
