E-cigarette ban

John Connor’s anti-e-cigarette letter (13 August) is brilliant.

“What is the effect,” he asks, “of large clouds of vapour (which are exhaled) (his parenthesis for effect) on other members of the public, especially if the e-cig user has a cold or flu?”

Well, Mr Connor, the effect would be exactly the same whether the flu sufferer was using an e-cig or not.

But he’s got a point. Maybe we should ban people going around breathing out all over the
place.

We’ve banned everything else.
