Andy Murray is tired out
ANDY Murray conceded a lack of sleep contributed to his elimination from the Paris Masters yesterday.
The world No4 was beaten 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 by Czech Radek Stepanek, who advanced to the third round. But, after only finishing his first-round win over James Blake at 2am yesterday morning, the Scot said his preparation had been hampered.
"Obviously, I was not at my best but I was not expecting to (be]," said Murray.
"It was four o'clock by the time I got to bed and that's not the ideal preparation for a match."
Murray, who came back from a wrist injury to claim his sixth title of the year on Sunday in Valencia, can now enjoy a few days' rest before the World Tour finals in London later this month.
"After a few days off I'll feel good," he said. "I'm looking forward to London. I will give it my best shot."
