Aluko picks up stomach injury
MARK McGhee has confirmed Sone Aluko faces a spell on the sidelines with a stomach injury.
Winger Aluko was forced off before half-time in Saturday's 2-1 SPL win over St Johnstone.
He will definitely sit out the Dons' next match in just under two weeks' time, while a scan will determine how much longer he will be out for.
Manager McGhee said: "Sone has a stomach strain – which we don't know exactly yet the level of. Certainly, he won't be training for a couple of weeks. I'd imagine he'd miss the Motherwell game; I've no idea beyond that."
Aluko scored a stunning solo goal against Saints before going off, and McGhee added: "His goal was absolutely fantastic. If he's now going to be out the team, it's a setback for us all."
Peter Pawlett has been given a clean bill of health despite fears he too had picked up an injury.
