Celtic pay Hooper’s former club

Scunthorpe United have received £250,000 from Celtic as a result of a clause in the deal which took Gary Hooper to Celtic two years ago.

The clause was triggered following the progression of Neil Lennon’s side beyond the group stages of the Champions League, (Scunthorpe Telegraph)

Neil Lennon’s side progressed to the last 16 of the Scottish Cup following a 1 - 0 victory over Arbroath.

Hearts warn club could face crisis unless supporters buy more shares

Tynecastle director Sergjus Fedotovas has warned that Hearts could be plunged back into financial crisis unless more than the £800, 000 currently raised is added to.

The Gorgie club have made arrangements with HMRC to cover outstanding tax bills however Fedotovas warns that it still faces a £1m deficit. (Scotsman)

Naismith rules out action against Rangers

Former Rangers striker Steven Naismith says he will be joining his former team mates in suing Charles Green’s newco for unfair dismissal.

The now Everton front-man refused to transfer his contract to the new outfit. (Scotsman)

Goian set for Rangers return

Ibrox defender Dorin Goian is set to make an early return to Rangers after Serie B side Spezia confirmed that they would be cutting his loan spell short.

Goian’s spell in Italy has been controversial having been suspended following an incident where he pushed over a referee. (Herald)
