Division Three roundup: Victories for Annan, Elgin and Peterhead as Queen’s snatch draw
A roundup of all the action from the Third Division.
Annan 3, Berwick 2
A STUNNING second-half comeback gave Annan Athletic the three points at Galabank. Philip Addison fired the visitors into a 14th-minute lead before Fraser McLaren doubled it.
Scott Chaplain scored twice in the space of three minutes to restore parity before Annan striker Ally Love smashed in a 61st-minute winner.
Clyde 0, Peterhead 2
Wasteful Clyde slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Alloa’s Recreation Park.
The home side’s Stuart McColm missed a 19th minute penalty moments before veteran striker Robbie Winters volleyed Peterhead in front.
Rory McAllister added a second from the spot without reply.
Elgin 3, Stirling 1
Elgin City came from behind to earn an impressive victory at Borough Briggs.
Graham Weir set up Scott Davidson for a slick Stirling opener in the fourth minute only for Craig Gunn to equalise.
Mark Nicholson and Dennis Wyness put the game beyond doubt.
Queen’s Park 2, Montrose 2
Queen’s Park salvaged a 2-2 draw in a dramatic late revival at Hampden. Lloyd Young scored Montrose’s opening goal on 28 minutes and after the interval Scott Johnston’s volleyed the second.
But Jamie Longworth’s 86th-minute strike halved the hosts’ arrears before Craig Smith pounced.
