Grant Johnston is new assistant at Brechin

Brechin City’s new manager Ray McKinnon has brought in former Glebe Park player Grant Johnston to be his assistant manager after Kevin McGowne, Andy Millen and George Browning all left in the wake of Jim Weir’s sacking. Johnston, now 40, started his career alongside McKinnon at Dundee United in 1990 and he went on to combine spells at Huddersfield Town, Clydebank, Alloa, Montrose and Brechin with studying for a law degree.
