Law firm Pinsent Masons opens German branch
LAW firm Pinsent Masons has opened an office in Germany, its first in mainland Europe, just weeks after acquiring Scottish practice McGrigors.
Seven partners specialising in complex transactions, corporate law and dispute resolution will be based in Munich. It is the latest international expansion by Pinsent Masons and the new office will help deliver services across several sectors, working particularly closely with the UK and China offices.
Kirk Murdoch, chairman for Scotland and Northern Ireland, said the launch will help foster connections between Scotland and Germany. “One of the key drivers for our expansion plans is international growth. We want to support our clients wherever they may be operating,” he said.
Pinsent Masons has had an international presence for more than 30 years since launching in China. Offices have been opened in Singapore in 2007, Dubai in 2008 and Qatar in 2011.
Pinsent Masons absorbed McGrigors in May. The combined firm has a turnover of more than £300 million.
