THREE senior judges yesterday threw out an appeal on behalf of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain, saying it was without merit.

Muriel wonders how Ruth would have aged. The last photograph she has of her, taken just before she died, shows a blonde and beautiful 28-year-old woman.
