Edinburgh to play Wasps

EDINBURGH have confirmed that they will play Ian McGeechan's Wasps in a pre-season friendly at Murrayfield on Saturday 23 August.
The capital side will also play coach Andy Robinson's former club Bath – who face Wasps this weekend in a Guinness Premiership semi-final – at the Recreation Ground in Bath on Friday 29 August.

Robinson said: "We want to start with a bang next season, so playing against two great sides like Wasps and Bath will enable us to test exactly how our pre-season preparation work is going."

McGeechan added:

"My old friend Andy Robinson has done an outstanding job with the Edinburgh team, making them very competitive again. It's important to have some challenging games as part of pre-season preparations and I have no doubt Edinburgh will provide us with that."
