Sir Fred and RBS seemed determined to enter the worst scenario at the worst time in plunging into the Chicago area in their overpriced takeover of the worst parts of ABN Amro.

Hootsman seems to be supporting RBS is this a case of someone having a lot of shares in it and talking it up. It was the same with an insurance company a few years go where someone had their pension
