AERIAL photography specialists Airborne Lens have released a stunning new 360 video showing the ‘mysterious’ Green Lochan near Aviemore.
The enchanting An Lochan Uaine (The Green Lochan) has long been a popular stopping point for walkers in the Cairngorms National Park.
According to legend the loch got its ‘mysterious’ emerald hue because of fairies washing their clothes in its waters.
The green ‘fairy loch’ is surrounded by lush forest and steep scree slopes and is located a short walk from the forest lodge in Glenmore Forest Park.
Released on Saturday, the short clip was filmed in glorious 4K by Airborne Lens and allows the viewer to rotate the camera a full 360 degrees to soak in the unique beauty of this famous spot.
Experts believe that the colour comes from sunken trees which line the loch floor.
