RODOLPHE DE RADIGUÈS, who works at the Balmoral hotel, moved from Brussels to Edinburgh three years ago to learn English. He took this picture of a lone boat in Ettrick Bay, Isle of Bute, last August. "The view is from the middle of nowhere, in the virgin Scottish countryside under the windy elements of the country. It was 6am and there was no one else there – a perfect occasion for a great take."
