THE STAR of one of the most infamous horror movies of all time is coming to Edinburgh this month for the city's annual horror film festival.
Ian McCulloch, the star of Lucio Fulci's 1979 shocker Zombie Flesh Eaters, which was initially banned in the UK and features one of the most shocking scenes in horror cinema, has been announced as one of the star names to attend this year's Dead By Dawn festival.
McCulloch will host a screening of Zombie Flesh Eaters, and will be taking part in a question and answer session with fans after the show.
The film was famous not just for its gruesome special effects, but also for featuring the world's first underwater zombie.
The Dead by Dawn Festival is being held at the Edinburgh Filmhouse later this month and will also feature an appearance by brothers Andres and Diego Meza-Valdes, presenting their short shocker The Room.
Dead by Dawn, Scotland's International Horror Film Festival runs from April 30 to May 3, and more information can be found on-line at www.deadby dawn.co.uk
