Youth advice sought on drink
A GROUP of teenagers and young people have been recruited to help tackle alcohol misuse in Scotland.
The 19 "youth commissioners" will produce a report next year on what they think needs to be done to reduce alcohol problems.
Announcing the plan, Shona Robison MSP told health experts from across Europe in Edinburgh that it was shamed her as public health minister to reveal that one Scot dies every six hours as a direct result of alcohol.
"We need to act now to avoid the harms associated with alcohol," she said.
