Your Review: Scottish Ballet Festival Theatre
Donald McGuiness, 66, retired, Newington: "I thought it was an excellent night's entertainment with each part having its merits.
" However, I felt that perhaps they should have reversed the order of the last two pieces. The skill on show was wonderful and the company as a whole an as individuals were on top form. I particularly liked Work Within Work as I'd never seen it performed before and it was an extraordinarily powerful piece of work."
Alison Danzig, 42, PA, Roseburn: "This was one of the best performances I've seen from the company in terms of dancing, although I wasn't sure that it held together as well as a programme. I enjoyed Rubies as I'd seen it a few years ago and was able to appreciate some of the jokes and subtleties more this time round. The second piece was impressive but not really my cup of tea – I couldn't warm to the harshness of the music. The third piece with the beautiful Bach music and the wonderful part with the luminous legs was wonderfully warm and witty stuff."
