Your review: Ray Lamontagne, Usher Hall
Carrie McFadyen, 26, shop assistant, Crewe Toll: "I came along because my new boyfriend is a big fan. I'd never heard of Ray Lamontagne before, so wasn't sure what to expect, but his voice was simply amazing. He seems to breathe the words out so effortlessly, and his band were fantastic. Can't wait to check out his albums now."
Simon Jenkins, 30, police officer, Leith: "I saw him last time at the Playhouse, and he got a standing ovation at that, too. You could understand him playing all his new stuff, but everyone loves him so much they didn't appear too bothered by it. I thought the Bob Dylan track during the encore was a nice touch."
Beverley Cambridge, 24, student, Marchmont: "I've been a big fan of his since he first played the Queen's Hall a few years back, but tonight's was easily the best by far. I reckon I got on a few people's nerves singing along to them all, but honestly, I couldn't help it. He wrings so much emotion out of the songs, and they certainly wring a lot of emotion out of me."
