Your Review: Midweek Comedy Cabaret, The Stand

Jenny Droves, 24, bar worker, Stockbridge: "A good night but a bit of a mixed bag.

" I really liked the Geordie bloke and having actually watched the seance, I know he got it spot on with his observations. The Scottish comic with the stuff written on his body was funny but after a while it just seemed like he was making it up as he went along. All in all I liked it but I'm glad I didn't pay a fortune for it."

Neil Kenny, 33, audio-visual technician, Leith: "I liked Andy Sir although this wasn't his best night and he fell down on some of his delivery. I was particularly impressed by John Whale and although his act was a little rough around the edges I thought it was very clever and smartly written. Garry Dobson was good but it wasn't totally successful."
