Seven Saudi nationals due to be executed by crucifixion and firing squad have had their sentences postponed for a week.

Officials said the ruler of the south-western province of Asir, Prince Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, ordered the postponement yesterday.

The seven were juveniles at the time they were arrested for armed robbery, a capital offence in Saudi Arabia.
