North Korea is reported to have removed several missiles from their coastal launch pads.

The reports come after months of rising tensions as the isolated nation has made repeated threats against the west and had moved missiles into range of a US military base on Guam.

Pyongyang had said it would be conducting missile tests of a medium range weapon, a move which was condemned by US secretary of state, John Kerry.

The Pentagon claims that two Musudan missiles were moved away from their east coast launch site, but it reserved judgement on the motive behind the development, as North Korea has historically been unpredictable.
