Gunmen attack bank governor’s car

Masked gunmen stole the car of Egypt’s central bank governor in Giza yesterday, killing his bodyguard in the attack, the interior ministry said. The bank chief was not in the vehicle at the time of the assault.

Hesham Ramez, who was recently appointed as governor, said the attack appeared to be a random criminal act and not an assassination attempt.
