Giant golden biscuit stolen by ‘cookie monster’

POLICE have recovered a sculpture stolen from outside a biscuit factory by someone dressed as the Cookie Monster from children’s TV show Sesame Street.

The 50lb sculpture of a gilded biscuit was taken from outside Bahlsen HQ in Hanover, Germany. It was found hanging from a horse sculpture on a red ribbon.

The century-old biscuit was stolen last month. A local paper later received a letter demanding biscuits be delivered to children at a hospital and a picture of a Cookie Monster holding the stolen sculpture. Bahlsen promised 52,000 packets of biscuits for a charitable cause if the sculpture were returned.
