Burma: Rebels claim army ignoring ceasefire

The military said on Friday it would stop attacks against rebels around the town of Lajayang, near Burma’s north-east border with China, starting yesterday because it had achieved its goal of relieving an army outpost there that had been surrounded by insurgents.
