Bomb blast in Banjot kills secular candidate

A BOMB blast has killed a local leader of an anti-Taleban political party in Pakistan’s north-western Swat Valley, the fourth such attack targeting members of secular-leaning parties during their campaigns for next month’s parliamentary election.

The bomb planted near Mukarram Shah’s car exploded yesterday in the village of Banjot.
