A DOZEN Ajax fans have reportedly been arrested by Dutch police, suspected of causing violence at three games, including Celtic’s Champions League match in Amsterdam.

According to Police, some of the men arrested were suspected of taking part in a ‘hit-and-run’ attack on Celtic fans the day before the Scottish side’s match with Ajax.

The men were reportedly detained after CCTV footage from the three fixtures, including Celtic’s game on November 6, was reviewed.

Five Celtic supporters were convicted last week of disorder and acts of violence against Dutch police during clashes in Amsterdam ahead of the Glasgow side’s fixture with Ajax earlier this month.

A sixth fan was acquitted.
