Afghan migrants rescued from ship

Indonesia has rescued 120 Afghans from a leaking wooden ship headed to Australia.

The National Search and Rescue Agency said it received a distress call on Sunday. The Afghans were taken by tanker to a port on the western side of Indonesia’s Java Island.

Migrants have long used Indonesia’s islands as a transit point on the way to Australia.
