Oil and gas services giant Wood Group is extending its support deal with Chevron in the North Sea.

Under the one-year contract, which extends an agreement dating back to 2010, the Aberdeen-based group’s PSN division will deliver operations and maintenance services across four of Chevron’s offshore assets – the Alba Northern platform, Alba floating storage unit, Captain floating production, storage and offloading vessel and Captain wellhead protector platform.

Wood said the deal retains more than 30 jobs and adds to its support for Chevron in UK waters. Its Kenny arm recently carried out subsea engineering for the US group’s Captain enhanced oil recovery project.

“We look forward to continuing our strong relationship and maintaining the excellent, high standards we have demonstrated in our service delivery.”
