Police are appealing for information following a road crash in Glasgow City Centre in which a 47 year old woman died.

Ailsa Gosman from Jamieson Avenue, Larbet, was fatally injured when she was struck by a single decker First bus on Montrose Street at its junction with George Street at 6:20pm on October 28.

Emergency services attended, however, the 47-year-old died at the scene.

The 48-year-old driver was not injured in the incident, and there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.

Inspector Nicola Taylor, Divisional Roads Policing Unit, Glasgow, said: “Although there were a number of people who assisted at the scene and provided officers with statements, we are still keen to hear from others who were there, in the street or perhaps in the Premier Inn – the crash took place right outside there, who maybe saw it happen or have any information that will assist us with our enquiries.

“Please contact the Divisional Roads Policing Unit in Govan, Glasgow, via 101 quoting reference number 3417/28/10/17 when calling.”

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
