A WOMAN has appeared in court following the deaths of a mother and daughter found injured at a hotel a year ago.

Margaret McDonough, 52, and 23-year-old Nicola were found at the Premier Inn in Greenock, Inverclyde, on May 10 last year.

Linsey Cotton, 31, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court today charged with fraud and culpable and reckless conduct.

Cotton, from the West Lothian area, was also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

She made no plea or declaration and was granted bail following the appearance, the Crown Office confirmed.
