Wogan agrees to waive charity fee

SIR Terry Wogan said yesterday he would waive his payment for presenting Children In Need again this year. He was criticised when it was disclosed he had been paid £1,300 an hour for hosting the annual charity appeal on BBC1.

But, launching the appeal's Pudsey Bear strawberry jam, he insisted he had not known about the fee, and had waived it for the past two years.
