Wildlife centre rabies warning
A RABIES warning has been issued to anyone in the Lothians who worked at a South African wildlife centre.
Health experts are concerned that many people from across the UK may have passed through the Riverside Wildlife Rehabilitation and Environmental Education Centre in Limpopo.
A woman from Northern Ireland has died from rabies having worked at the centre in 2006. She is understood to have been bitten by a dog.
The disease can also be passed if a dog or mongoose licks or scratches an open wound.
