STAFF and visitors at Edinburgh Zoo are celebrating a new arrival - a baby buff-cheeked gibbon.
Nicknamed "Cheeky" until its sex can be determined, the gibbon is the third offspring of the zoo's Lucy.
Leah, Lucy's second born, moved to Edinburgh with her mother in September 2004. They were joined by a male, Jon as part of a conservation breeding programme in February 2005.
Donald Gow, zoo primate keeper, said: "We are delighted, as this is an increasingly endangered species in the wild."
