West Bank settlement to continue
ISRAEL was poised to approve more West Bank settlement building today after key leaders defied US pressure and backed the controversial enclaves.
Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defence minister Ehud Barak were expected to rubber stamp orders for about 500 new apartments, Israeli officials said.
