Waverley Court wins green award from Cycling Scotland
WAVERLEY Court has picked up a top award from Cycling Scotland in recognition of its green credentials.
The council headquarters is the base for around 1800 staff and offers secure bike racks, lockers and showers for those who cycle to and from the office.
Cycling Scotland's Cycle Friendly Employer award is being awarded today.
Cllr Phil Wheeler, transport convener, said: "I am delighted to be accepting this award from Cycling Scotland on behalf of the City Council. The council is always keen to promote green forms of transport."
Erl Wilkie, chief executive of Cycling Scotland said: "The benefits of cycling to work are huge, but you do need the facilities."
