Watch rope-climbing robot at the Science Festival
TEN-YEAR-OLD Cara Thomas was among the people who turned out to meet Skeletron, the rope-climbing robot, on the opening day of the Edinburgh Science Festival.
Winner of the robot Olympics, Skeletron was just one of the attractions at the Festival's Wonderama – an interactive science experience set up in the Assembly Rooms on George Street. It allows visitors to explore the burial chamber of an Egyptian Pharaoh and listen to the underwater sound of dolphins.
Visitors can even perform an emergency operation alongside real doctors.
