A CLIMBER captured unique footage of Ben Nevis as he ascended Britain’s tallest mountain – using a camera-mounted drone he piloted himself.

Posting the video on YouTube earlier this month, Rob Johnson said he used a Phantom 2 drone fitted with a GoPro Hero 4 camera.

Describing the video, Mr Johnson went on: “I climbed Ledge Route, a grade 2 winter mountaineering route, and filmed myself as I climbed.”

Johnson, a film-maker and mountaineering instructor, runs filmuphigh.com, whose logo features in the film.
