Ward change at Sick Kids
ONE of the three surgical wards at the Sick Kids Hospital is to be closed and reopened as an outpatient ward.
The hospital says it has been coping well with just two in recent months and will convert the third to cater for the increasing numbers of youngsters that can be treated in a single day.
The nurses currently working in Ward 5 will be retained and are likely to be redeployed to other wards in the hospital.
