Vintage car road trip raises £130k
A FUNDRAISING road trip for the appeal in memory of cancer victim Zoe King has now raised £130,000.
Alan Biggar, a colleague of Zoe's mum Sharon, raised 100,000 before he even set off on his round Britain drive.
He drove a vintage car around the country visiting every office of Brewin Dolphin, of which his employer, Haymarket-based stockbrokers Bell Lawrie, is a subsidiary.
In addition to the huge amount that was already pledged, the additional cash was raised and will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Mr Biggar returned to the Capital yesterday and celebrated with a reception at Drumsheugh Gardens, where 150 guests showed up.
