Video: Behind the scenes at the revamped National Museum of Scotland
After a wait of more than three years, the National Museum of Scotland will finally reopen its doors tomorrow after a £47 million transformation.
While the unmistakable Grand Gallery has been preserved, many aspects of the Victorian building have been completely reconfigured, and the exhibits comprehensively overhauled.
David Forsyth, senior curator at National Museums Scotland, talked us through the changes.
The National Museum of Scotland re-opens to the public tomorrow (29 July) at 10am, with a street party on Chambers Street scheduled for 9.15am.
For more information on the redevelopment, read Tim Cornwell's report, and art critic Duncan Macmillan's verdict.
