Vaults ghost watch bids to scare up volunteers

BUDDING ghost hunters and paranormal detectives are being dared to see what goes bump in the night at two of Edinburgh's most haunted vaults.

Paranormal Event Specialists Mystic Entertainments are inviting brave souls to spend the night in the underground vaults of Blair Street and Niddry Street, Edinburgh on Saturday, March 7 and Saturday, March 21.

During the evening they will be joined by ghost-hunting experts using new technology which can detect small changes in electrical energy and potentially detect the energy field of a ghost.

They will also be using real time EVP (electronic voice phenomena) equipment, to try to make direct audio contact with any spirits.

Paul Rowland from equipment designers Paradox Electronics said: "I enjoy sharing the increasing number of 'interesting' results with groups of public on events, it is satisfying to get the 'wow' response from around the equipment, and it shows the responses are real."
