Uncomfortable time for store
A FURNITURE business has gone into administration with almost 1,000 customers still waiting for orders to be delivered, including local clients, it was reported.
Artisan Furniture Ltd, which has a shop in Leith, announced it had gone into administration yesterday.
David Hunter from administrators Campbell Dallas, said: "The directors took the decision to close all the stores to protect their staff and to safeguard stock."
Almost 1,000 customers have paid the firm deposits of up to 40 per cent for undelivered goods.
So far it is confirmed that eight of the company's 23 staff will be made redundant.
Mr Hunter added: "We are asking customers who have paid deposits to phone."
