UK healthcare facing 'timebomb'
HEALTH Secretary Andy Burnham gave a stark warning yesterday of the healthcare "timebomb" facing Britain's ageing population.
He said in the next 20 years there would be 1.7 million more people needing social care and the issue needed to be pushed up the political agenda.
