Working while ill risks sickness later

REPEATEDLY going to work while ill increases the risk of long-term sick leave later in life.

The phenomenon – "sickness presence" – is becoming increasingly common as staff fear for their jobs during the recession. Findings in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health show such workers were 53 per cent more likely to end up going off sick for two weeks.
