White van man gets a sex change

There is now a chance that the familiar road user “white van man” may actually be “white van woman”.

As many as a third of van drivers interviewed for a survey were females, using their vehicles for business purposes, the poll by AXA Business 
Insurance found.

About 14 per cent of those polled found the “white van man” label outright insulting, while 39 per cent believed perceptions associated with the tag were accurate. More than a third of female van drivers found the nickname amusing.
