Acting BBC Director-General Tim Davie was criticised last night after walking out midway through an interview with a Sky News journalist.

Davie was giving only his second interview since replacing George Entwistle. After batting questions from Sky News anchor Dermot Murnaghan on whether his predecessor was to blame for the corporation’s failings, Davie can be seeing looking off-camera at an unidentified figure before excusing himselfas Murnaghan continued to probe him.
