UK’s eldest sisters notch up 311 years

Britain’s eldest sisters were celebrating yesterday after reaching a combined age of 311.

Hilda Greening, 108, Jean Underwood, 105, and Mary Hunt, 98, put their longevity down to good genes and hard work. The trio, who are originally from Gloucestershire, have 12 children and 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren between them.
