Trains on the right track for record

The number of trains arriving on time reached a record high of more than nine out of ten in recent weeks, new figures show.

Punctuality reached 94 per cent in the four weeks to mid-September, 1.5 per cent up on last year and the highest ever recorded for the period, said Network Rail. Trains are “punctual” if they arrive within five minutes of due time.
