Tony Blair protest plan unveiled
CAMPAIGNERS have vowed to stage a protest outside the Iraq inquiry when Tony Blair gives evidence.
Actors, writers, musicians, relatives of the dead, Iraqi refugees, poets, human rights lawyers, comedians and MPs will be among those gathered in London for the former prime minister's appearance next Friday, the Stop The War Coalition announced.
As Mr Blair arrives at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, a delegation of protesters plan to give a "people's dossier" of questions to Sir John Chilcot.
Between 9am and 10am, musician Brian Eno, comedian Alexei Sayle and actress Miriam Margoyles will be among those who will read out the names of Iraqis killed in the war. This will be followed by a series of speeches and performances until 1pm, when families of soldiers killed in Iraq will list the names of British service personnel killed in the conflict.
The protesters will also make their voices heard when Mr Blair leaves the inquiry at 4pm.
